On May 4th, 2024, WaterAid Bangladesh welcomed the news that His Majesty King Charles III will continue his distinguished role as WaterAid's Royal Patron. King Charles has held this position since 1991, playing a pivotal role in championing WaterAid's mission to deliver clean water, decent sanitation, and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere around the world

We are immensely grateful for His Majesty's unwavering dedication to this critical cause.  King Charles is a recognised leader on global issues like climate change and sustainability, both of which are deeply intertwined with water security. King Charles' support extends far beyond patronage. He has actively raised awareness for WaterAid's work on a global scale, including visits to WaterAid projects in Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Ghana. His leadership on the world stage, including the launch of the Resilient Water Accelerator in, is a significant boost to achieving universal WASH access by 2030.

WaterAid Bangladesh remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving universal access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). King Charles' continued patronage will serve as a tremendous source of encouragement and inspiration as we strive to build a brighter future for the most vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.
